Modification of adjectives has received much more attention in the literature than complementation, and virtually all grammars of Dutch, including Haeseryn et al. (1997), Klooster (2001) and Paardekooper (1986), discuss the subject in detail. Other studies which deal extensively with the modification of Dutch adjectives and which proved to be invaluable sources for this chapter are Corver (1990), Klein (1997) and Klooster (1972).
