The previous sections discussed the modification of spatial adpositional phrases. We have shown that locational phrases denoting a set of vectors can be modified for orientation and distance. Modification of locational phrases denoting the null vector seems impossible, despite some apparent counterexamples. Finally, directional phrases can occur with modifiers indicating which part of the path denoted by the phrase is actually covered.
