Section 16.3.2.2 focused on the form and function of the relative elements. This section will mainly be concerned with the distinction between restrictive and non-restrictive constructions: 16.3.2.3.1 discusses some general differences between these two types of relative clauses, while 16.3.2.3.2 and 16.3.2.3.3 discuss the two subtypes in more detail. Finally, Section 16.3.2.3.4 discusses stacked, coordinated, and nested relative clauses.
