Adjectives in attributive position are inflected. The inflectional ending of attributive adjectives is relatively simple: it involves a choice between -e and -∅. The choice between the two options depends on the factors in (1), which will be the subject of Section 27.1.1. There are many exceptions to the general pattern: these will be discussed in Section 27.1.2.
