30.2. Modification in the clausal domain

This section discusses adverbially used adjectives in the clausal domain. Section 30.2.1 distinguishes two main classes of adverbial modifiers, the so-called clause and VP adverbials; cf. Jackendoff (1972). Sections 30.2.2 and 30.2.3 discuss in more detail the subsets of adjectives belonging to these two main types. Section 30.2.4 concludes with a discussion of two special cases.
